"I desire to go to Hell and not to Heaven. In the former place I shall enjoy the company of popes, kings and princes, while in the latter are only beggars, monks and apostles."

Mighty Saguaro in Talos, at the Mighty Mart sign.

As you know, we ran a collection in memory of Owen "Mighty Saguaro" some ten months ago. The plan was to collect €200/£160 to send a wreath to his funeral. Should anything be left, we would get a mighty drawing of Mighty's favourite toons in the "Draw The World Together" program, a program where professional artists draw characters and where all the raised funds goes to charity.

Sadly, this didn't go according to plan. The collection was set up with too little time to spare to get a wreath to his funeral and the artists were too busy at Memorabilia with a gazillion other commissions that came before us.

So we decided for the backup plan: the funds, £160, was donated to Lifeblood - the thrombosis charity for research.

I would like to thank all the contributors for your generosity. It's sad that we didn't get the drawings, but I feel that this charity will honour his memory by helping others suffering from similar conditions, and maybe even save lives.

And that's the important thing, isn't it?

Paragon City, December 13th

Dear Mother,

I hate to say this, but I'm awfully homesick right now. My old Swedish friends sent me a lot of pictures from their partying last night, but here, Saint Lucia is all but unknown. I think some of the Italians have their own Lucia festivities, but that is of course totally different from the ones at home. I know that you never really understood it, but on the other hand, Dad still doesn't understand O-bon either. But the point is that... well, I miss it.

I tried to make gingerbread cookies, but again the American silliness with pre-processed stuff stopped me from getting it right. And I tried the mulled wine they have here, but... it's not the same. The most similar thing I could find was a bottle of glühwein, and it was very small and expensive.

You remember that officer Jaffney from last week? He contacted me again, saying that a dangerous Troll criminal, Frostfire, had his base in the Hollows. I gathered a small band, Tommy Thunder, Cinereal Kingdom, Worldgate, Entropic Chaos, Transcience and two new people, Noh Kin and Golden' Flame. It was pretty fun taking the fight to the trolls, and we managed to catch Frostfire and put him behind bars! There were some strays to catch, though. I got an inside contact, Julius, who wanted a little bit of law and order among the trolls. We helped him by patrolling the streets and arresting some of the trolls disturbing the peace. One of the slipped something about damming the river, so we stopped that before the valley was flooded.

As we patrolled the area, looking sternly at Trolls and Outcasts, we found a cave. There were some movement in there, so we entered, and encountered the strangest thing yet: some stone beings made from volcanic rock! Some of them were still molten! And they didn't like us carbonites, so we had to fight hard to get them back into the underground. Eventually, we got back covered in soot and a bit worn after a long and hard day.

Of course, the Trolls used our absence to get back into the Red River area, but we showed them who's the boss! I reckon that the trolls should be out of commission for some time. Because of that, I and the rest of the team were made members of the Troll Task Force, a special unit in the Paragon Police Department.

Thanks for the money you sent me! Now I should be able to make it until I can get a job with a paycheck. I miss you and Dad and Grandma a lot!

My love to you all!

- Kits
