Dual Pistols are in closed beta. Which is a testing, but a secret one.

I spent last night on the test server. I rolled a Cute but without the Q and spent some time kill... arresting bad guys in the sewers and Hollows, and, uh, testing. Testing Frostfire. Yeah, that's right, testing Frostie. And rooting while activating powers.

I could tell you more, but then I would have to kill you.

It's a closed beta, but from the looks of it those folks who qualified for the loyalty program thingy (stay subbed all of october?) or who have the 5 year vet rewards (unlikely for EU customers) should get access (although it does appear to be in stages still, as apparently some folks haven't been given access yet). You should get an email to tell you you've been invited. If your email is out of date or just plain wrong, then try entering using the test server (make sure you don't install the US testserver by mistake, as you'll need a US account to get in ), as there isn't any application process.

Oh and as to rooting? I''d prefer that to some of the... well... downright odd animations that champs/STO does when you should be planting your feet to provide leverage to a blow. A pity that pistols couldn't have it worked into a few of the powers, but my suspicion would be that to balance it the damage/rech would have to be so crippled as to make it not worth the trouble.
